Canadian Ammonite - 4(B100)
Placenticeras costatum | Size: 30 cm (11.8 in) | Weight: 2.6 kg (5.7 lbs)
This striking Canadian Ammonite reveals a dynamic spectrum of green, orange, and even rare flashes of blue—its surface alive with natural colour and movement. What makes this specimen truly exceptional is its rare preservation: the chambers within were never filled with sediment, resulting in an unusually thin layer of nacre that intensifies its brilliance and rarity.
Ethically sourced from the Bearpaw Formation in Alberta, this Ammolite fossil is part of a geological phenomenon found only in one small area of North America. Over millions of years, the original shell transformed into a gemstone of stunning iridescence—each layer reflecting the passage of deep time.
This specimen comes complete with a handcrafted wooden display stand, a certificate of authenticity, and all necessary permits and documentation for international shipping. It is officially registered with the Government of Canada.
