Canadian Ammonite - 7(B100)
Placenticeras costatum | Size: 52 cm (20.5 in) | Weight: 10.6 kg (23.4 lbs)
This stunning Canadian Ammonite is a celebration of vibrant natural colour—flames of red, gold, orange, and green sweep across its surface in dynamic, uninterrupted patterns. Each hue dances in the light, revealing the intricate layers of nacre that have formed over 70 million years.
This specimen is particularly remarkable due to the rare way it was preserved. Its chambers were never filled with sediment, resulting in an exceptionally thin layer of nacre that amplifies the fossil’s natural iridescence. The result is a bold, fiery display that captures the eye and showcases the unmistakable quality of KORITE Ammolite.
Unearthed from the top of the Bearpaw Formation in Alberta—home to the only known deposits of gem-quality Ammolite in North America—this Ammonite is more than a fossil. It is a piece of Canada’s geological legacy and a tribute to the beauty of our national gemstone.
It comes complete with a handcrafted wooden display stand, a certificate of authenticity, and all required documentation for international shipping. KORITE ensures each registered specimen leaves the country with proper permits.
Please note: KORITE is not responsible for any import duties or taxes that may apply.
